Carya Family Counselling and Functional Family Therapy (Calgary)
Offers family counselling (brief therapeutic counselling services) to families with at least one child who is 24 years or younger, who face barriers to accessing mental health services and supports, addressing a broad scope of individual or family related issues.
Offered virtually, by phone, at partnered community locations, and three Carya locations:

Offers Functional Family Therapy (FFT)
“Functional Family Therapy is a unique way of working with families that specializes in the most challenging family circumstances. With the focus being on the whole family, it is expected that all family members directly involved in the child’s life participate in all sessions.”
Is a short-term, evidence-based program for families with children 0-18 years old dealing with the family conflict, truancy, problems at school, mental health concerns and/or involvement with the youth criminal justice system.
The entire family must be willing to participate and commit to attending weekly session for 12-15 weeks.
